Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />The County of Hawaii has been awarded $30,204 in federal funds from the Department of the <br />Attorney General, Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division. These funds will be used <br />for the testing of backlogged firearms. <br />Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br />for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $30,204 grant. The <br />Hawaii Police Department is requesting that this resolution and bill be waived from Finance <br />Committee and be placed on the August 19, 2020 Council agenda to expedite the receipt of these <br />funds.
