COUNTY CLERK COUNTY OF HAWAII RECEIVED Time 110 ODM BY Date .AUL 22-2020 My name is Kaila and I was born and raised in Kailua-kona. I support the resolution. My concern is the environmental impact 5G could potentially pose. I would like to humbly remind my community that Hawaii is a very unique place, with a plethora of endemic species. According to research done on emfsafteynetwork.org, two researchers state that with the "electromagnetic smog, honey bees are unable to return to their hive. This results in massive loss of workers then leads to a colony collapse". This poses a question on the impact and health of our native species. The — yellow -faced bee Hylaeus which is extremely endangered. There is an ongoing threat of habitat degradation, competition from non-native species, and climate change. To introduce a high emitting frequency would be a death sentence to our Hawaiian yellow -face bee. Not to mention our honeybees, birds & wildlife in general. With no one monitoring these towers, lack of short term/long term independent research, we will continue to oppose 5G. Our environment directly affects our livelihood. And our kids deserve an earth which is safe, abundant & respecting. Mahalo Nui for listening. Many blessing your way. Comm. No. Ref: To: Ref. Date i l l l 2 202®
