Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />C`> <br />In the current Budget Ordinance 20-45, $16,000 is appropriated in the Police Department's Dept of <br />Health - Tobacco Sting Grant account. Additional funds in the amount of $16,000 are being <br />provided by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division to be <br />used to fund operations to combat tobacco sales to minors. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br />additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's Dept of Health - Tobacco Sting account, <br />bringing the total appropriation to $32,000. <br />The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed <br />on the September 2, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
