Sako Director Steven A. Hunt Deputy Director C`> In the current Budget Ordinance 20-45, $16,000 is appropriated in the Police Department's Dept of Health - Tobacco Sting Grant account. Additional funds in the amount of $16,000 are being provided by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division to be used to fund operations to combat tobacco sales to minors. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's Dept of Health - Tobacco Sting account, bringing the total appropriation to $32,000. The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the September 2, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
