Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development will be receiving a second round of federal <br />funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in <br />conjunction with the Mainstream Voucher Admin COVID-19 grant program under the <br />Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). These funds are to be used <br />to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus (COVID-19). <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $2,560 <br />grant. <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development requests that this bill be waived from the <br />Finance Committee and placed on the September 2, 2020 Council agenda, and that the Council <br />waive their five-day hold -for -reconsideration period in order to expedite receipt of these funds. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Christine Nguyen of the Office of <br />Housing and Community Development at 961-8379. <br />Deanna S.
