Opposing Mayor Harry Kiri nomination of
Diane Blancett-Maddock
to the Real Property Tax Board of Review
Subject: Comm. 993 Nomination of Dine Blancett-Maddock and Michael,
Okumoto to the Real Property Tax Baan of Review — Oppo-sition.
I, Charles Cravalho continue to Appose Mayor Harry Karn nomination of Diane
Blancett-Maddock to the Real Property 'Tax Baird. The mason bung is that
she is not originally from Hawal'Ti., and his only resided hire for the Vast 5-6
years. We need to appoint someone that has been bora and raised in
Hawai"i, and more importantly, Hawai'i County. We should constantly be
making sure that persons elected to such a Board has the people's best
interest at heart. Mrs. Blancett-61J'laddock is wealthy and awns several
properties an Hawaii Island as well as an the mainland, whether she owns
these properties in severalty, joint ownership, or in trust to others, she has
vested interests in other locations other than here.
Mrs. Blancett-Maddock has had numerous cases in which she his
continuously over the span of decades created lawsuits against than County of
which she resided in., These cases were met with opposition by the local
residents on several occasions as it appears there was an individual interest
versus that of her community.' I am concerned as this type of scfivation mikes
me question her credibility and integrity. Since my fast testimony to the
Council, I asked that there be a full disclosure as to her- interest in being on
this Board. How did MIr's. Blancett-,Maddock respond? Does she have our
best interest at hearth What did your na'au (intuition/ pilo/ center) tell you? is
she congruent? Does she present and haw you feel about the way she
present align? I am askmg each and everyone of you to appose this
n nomination. I base may decisions not only on haw a person presents or his or
her "form" but on the true "essence" and intention of that individual, the
authentic way that they dive their life. Laking at the here and now of hover one
