ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS Res. 710-20: AUTHORIZES THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND OR A CONSERVATION EASEMENT FOR ALL OR A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEY: 9-5-010:026 IN THE AHUPUA`A OF KAWALA, DISTRICT OF KAT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 42, HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED) The County seeks to acquire the Manaka`a Fishing Village Property in whole or conservation easement to conserve precious cultural, natural, and agricultural resources. The parcel was listed as the number one highest priority for purchase in the 2019 Annual Report of the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission. TO HAWAII ELECTRIC LIGHT COMPANY, INC. The Hawaii Electric Light Company seeks to increase its interest from a Revocable Rights of Entry Agreement to a grant of easement in exchange for a payment of $26,300 to continue maintenance of the utility poles and lines providing service to its customers. All written testimony, regardless of time of receipt, will be made a part of the permanent record. Please submit separate testimony for each item. The email shall indicate the appropriate Committee or Council meeting, the meeting date, agenda item (communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video testimony will not be played during the meeting; however, it will be distributed to Council Members prior to the meeting. The Office of the County Clerk reserves the right to refuse testimony containing inappropriate content or that is not in compliance with Council Rule 13 (Public Statements and Testimony). Page 4
