Hi my name is Meta Coonen,
I am a carpenter in Kailua Kona and I am concerned with Bill 179 specifically appendix L . I am concerned that
allowing these prefabricated homes to bypass permitting and inspection puts them on an unequal advantaged playing
field against local contractors and companies. Who have done their part to adhere to the laws. I am concerned
appendix L will open up opportunities for large corporate companies as well , whom will ultimately take away from
our economy and local families as well as jobs , which at the moment we need every bit of work at the moment that
we can . Skilled work like this, being allowed to cut corners will ultimately allow for mistakes which will allow for
larger overhead costs as well as possibley it being unsafe . It will not only take work away from carpenters but all
trades. Please do not pass appendix L.
