Please accept this testimony in opposition of Bill 179-FHB-Factory-Built Housing
My name is Drake H Kusano I have worked both Union &Non- Union sectors on the Big Island for 40+years
Built&worked on many Projects on this Island (Big Island)as well as on Oahu &on the West Coast of California.
FBH homes will take away the core and heart of Hawaii's Construction Industry as well as taking away the lively hood of the very
workers that vote for all of you, we have worked hard for where we are at to this present day.
To allow this new change in rules and inspection for FHB homes will definitely take away jobs, livelihood of the very people that
support you, as well as their own families here on the Big Island.
I have seen many changes working here, on Oahu and on the West Coast many times they bring economy for the working class
construction industry down,with unfair practices and changes (like this new proposed bill 179- FHB)
We as your citizens that have voted you into office need your support and voice for fair across the board rules, not to take away the
set rules that we are following for our side of the construction industry and give a different ruling for FHB houses.
I am totally against this new proposed Bill 179 for this FBH (Factory-Built House) please stop this Bill before we lose more jobs here
on this island and in the State of Hawaii
