Subject: County Council 7/22/20 hearing for Bill 179—oppose Factory Built Housing
I strongly oppose factory built housing, I am a young father with a new born and wife to take care of.As my wife is not back to work yet
all the financial burden falls on me, I work a full forty hours and then on the weekend I am a handy man working various construction
projects for the community across the whole island. Factory build housing would greatly reduce the possibility of me getting that kind of
work again at a time when I need the work to support my family. Its unfair that factory build housing wouldn't have the same inspection
requirements from the county building inspector as traditional built homes. This is ironic considering we live in a county that requires a
permit to install a window mount air conditioner. This bill would benefit big business while taking away from the working middle class as
council member I urge you please for the sake of my O'hana and many others to oppose this bill.
