My name is Latai Soakai and I support Resolution 678-20. 1 am calling upon all
telecommunications companies and public utilities operating in Hawaii county to cease the buy ldout
of 5G wireless infrastructure until such technol,ogies have been proven through independent
research and testing to be safe to human health and the environment.
Electromagnetic Radiation will be labeled as a Class I carcinogen in the rear future, because of
the recent NTP and Ramazzini Institute experiments conducted on animals. It seems unwise to set
up an infrastructure that increases citizen exposure to such an agent, when science is about to
confirm the risks, and considering that the infrastructure you would deploy in the next months will
set the table for DECADES to come. Risks include but are not limited to cell alteration,, DNA
damage, neurological damage and 60ghz even affects oxygen absorption!l 5G will create a
situation in which practically every citizen will be living very near to a cell phone tower. We will not
be exposed to this invisible radiation or bullied by foreign corporations and the wireless industry,
endangering our keiki and people's health,, for what? Money? Profit? No! 5G is not welcome in
Hawai'i and we dont need nor want it!
We shouldfollow the precautionary principle with this untested new technology. We must prioritize
the protection of HawaiTs people and the animals of these islands firsfl
