HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0986.692 2018-2020 From: Christina Rico Sent: Sunday, July 19, 2020 11:12 PM COUNTY CL ERK To: Council Testimony COUNTY OF HAWAIII Subject: Support Resolution 67&20RECEIVED k Iz Aloha, Date JUL1 9 2020 I do not agree with 5g in the state of Hawaii. We do not need it. The WiFi and internet is fast enough. Why put time, effort and money into something that does not need fixing and could potentially cause more problems. Protect our keiki, protect our islands, protect our future. No 5G. No need tourism no need anything from America or the Mainland. In fact, Hawaii needs to be heading towards a sustainable future. The State of Hawaii has the easiest fix for that which is organic farming. If the State of Hawaii can it's first steps towards sustainability and making smart moves to make a Healthy Hawaii by: 1. Testing the ground for clean soil. 2. After areas are marked for clean soil, Mark the ones that will be good for different types of produce. 3. Start growing food. Pau. John x This will: 1. Create jobs for the Hawaii Communities without relying on tourists or other Hawaii outsource. 2. Keep Hawaii money in Hawaii. 3. Create stability in the islands. 4. Stop so much waste from coming into the islands from the barges. All of the opals (rubbish) the boxing and plastics that's building up on the aina (land). No need for that. 5_ Begin eco friendly living. Work towards a lower carbon footprint. 6. Bring culture back into the islands. 7_ Protect water from contamination. The list goes on and on. It's an easy fix. If the State of Hawaii doesn't start towards this path. I'm going to think that it's corrupt, selfish and uneducated. It is our kuleana to make the right decisions for our keiki (children). Hawaii doesn't need 5G. But we do need good people in the State of Hawaii to make common sense decisions for the better for Hawaii. Comm. No. Ref.To:— MOLItic,f 1 Ref. Date 1/22/=0
