Subject: Pro 5g Tower testimonial
I have been noticing posters urging people to write and offer testimony against 5g towers in Hawaii county. I cannot
tell you in less certain terms that those advocating against these towers are making baseless claims not supported by
science as well as with absolute lack of evidence. Those advocating that position have allowed fear to become their
driving motivation. It takes little to no effort to show that 5 gigahertz radio waves are far below the threshold of
ionizing radiation and therefor unable to cause DNA alterations or cause tumors. This goes hand in hand with the
complete antithetical conclusions that science has drawn when gathering meta data to show that there has been no
increase in rates of cancer that coincides with the increase in proliferation of radio waves in homes and for
communication.
They will write pleading for the environment and children, without offering any credible evidence to support the
claim of detriment to those they purport to want to defend. Their please will cater to your love of the island and the
next generation, they will give false anecdote and "studies" from bad actors and charlatans, -but I implore you to look
into the validity of their claims and not take them at face value. They will be impassioned and pull at your heart
strings, but their statements are baseless. Weigh the evidence of the claim and not the vehemence with which it's
made. Please do not fall victim to the anti science rhetoric and fear mongering that those who would give testimony
against these tower hope to be persuasive to you.
This island needs all of the help from science and technology that is possible at the moment with the pandemic and
ensuing financial hardships. Do not hobble us any further by allowing these I'll informed sycophants to influence
your judgement and objective thinking. You are put in place to lead this community forward, not resign us to
regressive wailing of those opposed to scientific progress and consensus.
