SUBJECT: Bill No. 183, Draft 2; an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 10 19 which
reclassified lands from Agricultural — One Acre (A-1 a) to Neighborhood
Commercial - 20,000 Square Feet (CN -20) at Ponahawai, South Hilo, Hawaii,
covered by Tax Map Key: 2-3-037:019
Attached is Bill No. 183, as amended to Draft 2, as duly approved by the Council on
September 2, 2020.
The verbal amendment to Bill No. 183 corrects the word "ACRES" to "ACRE" in the title and
corrected the word "PONOHAWAI" TO "PONAHAWAI".
Council Rule No. 14-3(e) allows verbal amendments to be made if the amendment is "limited to
correction of manifest clerical or typographical errors or errors in numbering, spelling,
capitalization, punctuation, grammar, and gender terms, provided that the correction will not
alter the meaning or effect of the underlying bill or resolution."
