Aloha no Council Members,
I am writing in OPPOSITION to Bill 186, which provides financing to a Lako Street extension on Ali`i Drive.
My name is Chessa (DeCambra) Harris, and I am a Native Hawaiian, with ancestral ties to this area. Further
development along Alii Drive is irresponsible to the `aina and all those who currently access the ocean along this
stretch of coastline. From what I have read, the is no long term benefit to the project, and instead, we will see an
increase in traffic congestion and continuing accessibility issues. Not to mention that important historical sites will
forever be altered.
Please vote NO on this destructive bill.
