My name is Dean Au, Hilo Field Representative for the Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters. We represent about 7,000
working families in the State of Hawaii, of which 500 reside on the Big Island. Furthermore, We advocate for fair Wages and
Benefits for all Construction Working Families in Hawaii.
We have major concerns the with Bill 179. We feel there should be "FAIRNESS" and a "Level Playing Field"for All home
builders. Factory Built Housing should not get special exemptions for permitting, inspections, and construction supervision.
Thank you for listening to our voices.
