My name is Max Newberg, I am the Kona field representative for Hawaii Island representing 500 working families. I realize that
Bill 179 has been a complex undertaking for you folks. I humbly ask for you to support Communication 989.33.
A family home shouldn't have to choose between affordability and safety. Having a permit and inspection for every factory-
built home does not increase the price.
Please uphold the same standard for all housing; permits prior to building and inspections for all structural, electrical and
plumbing.
Thank you for upholding safety and fairness in the building code.
