Aloha,
Writing as a community member living in West Hawaii where the housing crisis is clearly on display.
I believe that prefabricated housing and tiny homes can help to address barriers to affordable housing, as well as
provide environmental benefits. Combined with the simplified permitting process, this could help the community
rapidly respond to ongoing housing insecurity for many families who lack access to affordable housing and do not
have the means to become homeowners through currently available paths.
I submit this testimony in full support of Bill 179 and its appendices.
