CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to consider the proposed real property tax rates for fiscal year
July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021, was called to order by Chair Aaron S. Y. Chung at
5:01 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Hilo.

PURPOSE OF CHR. CHUNG: Pursuant to Section 19-90 of the Hawaii County Code, this
HEARING: public hearing is convened to receive statements from the public regarding
proposed real property tax rates for fiscal year 2020 to 2021 that's duly advertised
in the Friday, May 29, 2020, editions of the West Hawaii Today and Hawaii
Tribune Herald.
Council Members, we are here to receive public statements only. We may
only ask questions to clarify a speaker's statements. Discussion on the
proposed real property tax rates will be reserved for tomorrow's special
meeting of the Council that convenes at 9 a.m.
