MtY Os... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 740 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF SINGLE-USE MEDICAL MASKS TO THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, the University of California at San Francisco is donating approximately <br /> one million single-use medical masks to the County of Hawaii Civil Defense Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the medical masks, valued at approximately $1.86 each, will be provided <br /> to the County in weekly shipments of approximately 70,000 units; and <br /> WHEREAS, the medical masks, will be distributed to the public at COVID-19 testing <br /> sites and other venues; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Defense Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Mr. Jake Limbert, USCF Health, 777 Mariposa Street, San Francisco, <br /> CA 94107, acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
