J♦tY Os N, .• <br /> •''ice <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 751 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE WAIKOLOA <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF <br /> EXPENSES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION OF FACE MASKS FOR THE KEIKI <br /> AND KUPUNA WITHIN THE WAIKOLOA COMMUNITY. <br /> WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose mission is to promote and support the development of community facilities <br /> and related programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation has been collaborating <br /> with the members of the Waikoloa community to address the growing need for face masks to <br /> help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and comply with emergency proclamations and rules; and <br /> WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation is requesting funds for <br /> reimbursement of expenses related to the production of face masks for the keiki and kupuna <br /> within the Waikoloa community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports efforts that provide for the <br /> health and safety of our island communities during the COVID-19 pandemic; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Waikoloa Community Development Corporation <br /> for reimbursement of expenses related to the production of face masks for the keiki and kupuna <br /> within the Waikoloa community. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
