RESOLUTION NO. 751 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE WAIKOLOA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF
EXPENSES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION OF FACE MASKS FOR THE KEIKI
AND KUPUNA WITHIN THE WAIKOLOA COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization whose mission is to promote and support the development of community facilities
and related programs; and
WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation has been collaborating
with the members of the Waikoloa community to address the growing need for face masks to
help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and comply with emergency proclamations and rules; and
WHEREAS, Waikoloa Community Development Corporation is requesting funds for
reimbursement of expenses related to the production of face masks for the keiki and kupuna
within the Waikoloa community; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports efforts that provide for the
health and safety of our island communities during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Waikoloa Community Development Corporation
for reimbursement of expenses related to the production of face masks for the keiki and kupuna
within the Waikoloa community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
