COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 'TE•OF•M,� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 755 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF PICKLEBALL SUPPLIES TO THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Papa'aloa Pickleball Community Group is donating pickleball <br /> supplies to the County of Hawai`i Department of Parks & Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these supplies, consisting of four(4) pickleball nets, eight (8) paddles, <br /> ten (10) balls, one (1) whiteboard and one (1) universal storage chest, valued at $1,400, will <br /> be used by the community at the Papa'aloa Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Papa'aloa Pickleball Community Group, Attention: Dave Milenaar, P.O. <br /> Box 261, Laupahoehoe, HI 96746, acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
