Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 737-20, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 737-20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1085
dated September 18, 2020, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease of one 20-yard dump truck for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$3,594. The County would own the equipment at the end of the lease.
A motion to move Resolution No. 737-20 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by
Council Member Rebecca Villegas, and seconded by Council Member Herbert M. "Tim" Richards, III.
Parks and Recreation Business Manager Reid Sewake addressed Your Committee stating that the
20-yard dump truck with its increased capacity would be for the Department of Parks and Recreation,
Maintenance Division and will be used to haul material, equipment and other maintenance tools,
et cetera to various job sites for field maintenance.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 737-20, and
recommends its adoption.
