Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 738-20, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 738-20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1086
dated September 18, 2020, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease of one electrician utility vehicle for the Department of Parks and
Recreation.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$1,366. The County would own the equipment at the end of the lease.
A motion to move Resolution No. 738-20 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by
Council Member Rebecca Villegas, and seconded by Council Member Susan L. K. Lee Loy.
Parks and Recreation Business Manager Reid Sewake addressed Your Committee, stating that the
electrician utility vehicle is necessary for their departmental electricians to perform required services
island-wide. He also shared any repairs and/or maintenance of the vehicle would be performed by the
County during the term of the lease.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 738-20, and
recommends its adoption.
