Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 205, reports as follows:
Bill No. 205, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1089
dated September 18, 2020, amends Ordinance No. 20-45, as amended, the Operating Budget for the
County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending July 30, 2021.
Bill No. 205 increases revenues in the following State Grant Program Income accounts: Periodic Motor
Vehicle Inspection (PMVI) ($12,787) and Commercial Driver License (CDL) ($11,360); and
appropriates the same to the following Salary& Wages accounts: PMVI ($12,787) and CDL ($11,360),
for the total appropriation of$448,716 (PMVI), and $378,270 (CDL).
A motion to move Bill No. 205 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by Council
Member Rebecca Villegas, and seconded by Council Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz with no discussion
had.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 205, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
