Hunt <br />Deputy Director <br />Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a multi-year lease for 75 <br />years with Pdpa` aloa Elderly Housing Limited Partnership for the rehabilitation and <br />leasehold rights to the Papa` aloa Elderly Housing Project. Papa` aloa Elderly Housing <br />Limited Partnership desires to renovate the aging facility and increase its size from ten <br />(10) one -bedroom units to a new twenty (20) unit building and a community center. <br />Their plans also include the closure of six (6) cesspools on the property. The Pdpa`aloa <br />Elderly Housing Project will continue to serve as a rental housing facility for senior <br />citizens. <br />The Office of Housing and Community Development respectfully requests that a breach <br />be authorized to submit this resolution after the October 2, 2020 noon submission <br />deadline. The department also requests that this resolution be waived from Finance <br />Committee and be placed on the October 21, 2020 Council agenda and that the 5 -day <br />hold be waived in order to execute this agreement by October 31, 2020.
