No. 749-20 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:03 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 749-20, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 749-20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1106 <br /> dated October 2, 2020, changes the status of an Account Clerk (temporary) position to become a full-time <br /> permanent position. <br /> Resolution No. 749-20 identifies that the position would provide additional support for the Mass Transit <br /> Agency and motivate qualified candidates to apply for this position. <br /> A motion to move Resolution No. 749-20 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by <br /> Council Member Rebecca Villegas, and seconded by Council Member Karen Eoff. <br /> Several Council Members discussed the importance of being mindful of the budget and to consider <br /> detailed review on new positions attempting to be added within the County.
