Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 749-20, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 749-20, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1106
dated October 2, 2020, changes the status of an Account Clerk (temporary) position to become a full-time
permanent position.
Resolution No. 749-20 identifies that the position would provide additional support for the Mass Transit
Agency and motivate qualified candidates to apply for this position.
A motion to move Resolution No. 749-20 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by
Council Member Rebecca Villegas, and seconded by Council Member Karen Eoff.
Several Council Members discussed the importance of being mindful of the budget and to consider
detailed review on new positions attempting to be added within the County. Council Chair Chung
shared that he would reserve questions for Mass Transit Administrator and Account Clerk at the full
Council meeting.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 749-20, and
recommends its adoption.
