Dear Mayor Yamashiro:
I am writing you out of concern for the Liliuokalani
Gardens and the cutting down of trees in the Gardens. We
in Hilo are fortunate to have such a treasure as the
Gardens which delight residents and tourists.
Please arrange for a moratorium on any more tree
cutting until a public hearing will allow County residents
to present their views on future plans for the Gardens.
