Dear Chairman Tyler:
-
As a thirty-year resident of Hilo, I have come to appreciate
the many benefits to our community of the East Hawaii
Cultural Center.
I am past ninety years of age now and still make an effort to
attend the monthly art show openings at the Gallery as well as
other special cultural offerings at the Center such as the
.recent Volunteer Acknowledgement Reception and the Vietnamese
Fashion Show and Luncheon. All of these functions are planned
and managed by volunteers, young and old, who work hard in
support of the EHCC.
I am but one of Hilo's residents who supports and enjoys the
Center. I strongly disagree with Mayor Yamashiro's plan to
uproot the EHCC. It is bad judgement to disrupt a successful
community program without reason.
Yours sincerely,
No
