Lord as Managing Director for the County of Hawaii, pursuant to Section 6-1.2 of the Hawaii County Charter. This appointment was effective at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 7, 2020. Mr. Lord has served as the Business Manager for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney of Hawaii County since 2013, where he oversaw budgets of up to $10,000,000. Prior to that, he was the Division Manager for the Finance Department of Hawaii County. Mr. Lord has also served a bulk of his career in social work where he held roles in Foster Family Programs of Hawaii and Child and Family Services on O `ahu and in Hilo. Mr. Lord will serve a term co -terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 2, 2024. Pursuant to Rule 5(6) (g) of the Rules of Procedures and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, we respectfully request a waiver of nomination through committee so that it may be considered by the full County Council on December 23, 2020.
