Mr. Kern currently serves as a planning consultant for his company, Kern & Associates. Prior to that he held a myriad of executive and management roles in the private sector, where he oversaw construction, planning, and property management projects island wide. Mr. Kern also served a term on the Hawaii County Council. Mr. Kern will serve a term co -terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 2, 2024.
