SUBJECT: Attendance at the Environmental Management Commission meeting on
December 16, 2020
In accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes 92-2.5(e), I am reporting the attendance of myself,
Council Members Holeka Inaba and Rebecca Villegas at the virtual Environmental Management
Commission meeting held on December 16,2020.
Some of the items on the agenda that were addressed are as follows:
• Presentation by Michael Pierron of Compost Hawaii
• Presentation by Chantal Chung and Evan Lam of Ma`ona Community Garden
• Presentation by George Hayduckso of County of Hawaii Green Waste Program
• Introduction of Director-select Ramzi Mansour, Department of Environmental
Management

Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-2.5(e) states that two or more members of a board, but less than
quorum, may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official
board business, including a meeting of another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar,
or community meeting; provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and
exclusively organized for or directed towards members of the board. The section further
provides that at the next duly noticed meeting of the board,the board members shall report their
attendance and the matters presented and discussed.
Please place this communication on the next available meeting of the Council.
