Council Chair Maile David And Members of the County Council a.- County of Hawaii Hilo, HI 96720 Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members: It is my pleasure to nominate Riley Smith of Council District 9 to the Liquor Commission. Mr. Smith currently serves as President of Lanihau Properties and is an active member of the Kailua-Kona business community, having served on the Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce Board and the Kailua Village Business Improvement District Board. Mr. Smith is a tireless participant in our community and has served in numerous organizations, as Chair of Na Ala Hele Advisory Council, Chair of the KVBID, Public Private Partnership Committee, Director of the Waimea Community Association, as a member of the Real Estate Tax Review working group, and more. He is currently a member of the Liquor Adjudication Board, term ending 12/3112020. Mr. Smith graduated from Kamehameha Schools, the University of Southern California, and received his MBA from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. He is an active member of the Democratic Party.
