Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
In accordance with the County Charter Section 13-4, 1 submit Maria Short Magsalin for
reappointment to the Fire Commission.
The Council recently confirmed Ms. Magsalin on September 18, 2020 with a term expiration
date of December 31, 2020. She is now eligible to serve a full term that would expire on
December 31, 2025.
As noted previously, Ms. Magsalin has been a resident of Hawai'i for over 35 years. She retired
from the Hilo Medical Center as a Nurse Supervisor after 20 years of service.
