Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Gay Mathews to the Merit Appeals Board.
Ms. Mathews has been an employee of the North Hawai'i Community FCU since 1987, currently
serving as President/CEO. She is actively involved as Executive Assistant/ Executive Board
Member for Strong Angel 1, 11 and 111, a global civil-military resource for humanitarian relief in
times of disaster. Ms. Mathews is member of the Hawai'i Island Workforce Investment Board
and served in numerous capacities with the Hawai'i Community Loan Fund from 1994 - 2004.
Ms. Mathews graduated from Hawai'i Preparatory Academy, Western Curia Management
School, and holds a master's degree in Community Development from Thomas Edison State
College. If confirmed, she will serve a 5-year term to end December 31, 2025.
