Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mark Travalino of Council District 8 to the Leeward Planning
Commission.
Mr. Travalino is a 31-year resident of the State of Hawai'i, with 12 years of employment history
as Field Representative with Hawai'i Labor Union, Local 368. He recently served on the Board
of Appeals (term ended 1212019), the State Rehabilitation Council (2016–2019), and the Kona
Community Development Plan Action Committee.
Mr. Travalino's vast knowledge and experience in construction and community development is
an asset to both infrastructure and urban development. If confirmed, he will serve a term to end
December 2025.
