OPPOSE
Dear Hawaii County Council members,
The Hawaii County Game Management Advisory Commission purpose
is to advise County, State and Federal agencies on matters related to
the preservation of subsistence hunting and fishing, and protecting
traditional and cultural gathering rights (regardless of race).
GMAC commissioners voted unanimously at our public meeting
December 15th, to oppose a ban on pedestrian access into Waipio. In
addition, GMAC recommends better instructional signs and restrictions
on tourist rental vehicles.
