Aloha County Council Members,
My name is Kolina Burton from Kailua Kona. I am currently one of the heads of the(Reso 13-20)West Hawaii Veterans
Cemetery Greenhouse Activation Project. We are excited to secure funds for the immediate needs of the green house at the
veterans cemetery. Which includes, replacement parts for the standing irrigation system, bringing in soil, and the necessary
tools to start and continue the growing of native Hawaiian plants for local reforestation community projects to include Hawaii
Community College- Palamanui Campus. It is our hope to continue and expand our focus to starting a Native Hawaiian food
producing garden for our veterans and the opportunity to offer community classes on how to start your own Hawaiian garden
and volunteer opportunities to better improve our local community in the near future. We offer our hard work and dedication
