Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 21-21, reports as follows:

Resolution No. 21-21, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 20
dated December 4, 2020, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one I
fiscal year for a multi-year lease for one multi-function copy machine for the Office of the County
Auditor.

This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an approximate
monthly cost of$130.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Hawaii County Charter Section 10-11 states that the Mayor may authorize a lease beyond the end of
the fiscal year which shall be approved resolution adopted by the County Council.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 21-21, and
recommends its adoption.
