Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 7, reports as follows:
Bill No. 7, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 22 dated
November 18, 2020, amends Ordinance No. 20-44, as amended, relating to public improvements
and financing thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
This bill adds the Public Works Kalaniana`ole Avenue Reconstruction- Private Project for
$425,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from Private
Contributions.
Council Member Susan L. K. Lee Loy commented that this was Hawaii Electric Light
Company's (HELCO) fair share contribution to the reconstruction project.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 7, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
