I'd like to add my concerns about the appointment of Zendo Kern to the post of Planning Director.
First, we should stick to filling the post with "qualified" applicants. That much seems like a deal breaker, right there.
What is his experience in managing a large, important county department?
And, his background in development (only) seems to make him a dangerous fit for someone who needs to fully
support the Kona Community Development Plan.
