Aloha,
I am respectfully writing to encourage the Council to seriously examine the qualifications and experience for the nomination of
Zendo Kern as Planning Dirctor. I have no personal connection to Zendo, but looking at his qualifications I do not feel he has
theknowledge necessary to lead development in Kona. His lack of education and connection to developers is a "Red-flag" for future
problems. I seems to me that we have time to search for a college level, qualified and experienced person to help deliver the "vision"
for change that Mr Roth encourages..

I believe we need someone who can address the traffic problems, lack of connector roads and real housing options for lower income
families. More dvelopment of luxury homes with a few"low income' units will not benefit the lifestyle we would like to see in the
Kona Area.
