Please note, I have read that Mr. Kern claims to have earns
high school diploma . I'm revising my argument to read, "He
has a loth-grade public education . " And, I remain steadfast in
noting that a high school diploma and the earning of an
accredited college degree are two distinct forms of education .

Dear Council Members, ��
I have grave concerns regarding the appointment of Zendo
Kern as Planning Director. I've read the qualifications for this
role. Mr. Kern does not meet them . He has a 10th-grade
education . This role requires a college degree in planning,
engineering, architecture, geography, or another planning-
related field . Further, no less than three years of experience
in an administrative capacity is required . Mr. Kern has no
such related employment experience.
In addition, Mr. Kern based on his extensive representation of
developers and clients who will look to this department for
approval of their projects will find himself in a highly
compromised position, fraught with conflict of interest, or
certainly an inescapable appearance of such, when it comes
to executing the duties of this job.
Therefore, I strongly request that you vote "no" on his
appointment in the interest of maintaining a sound
government, a future given by the best interest of our
