I am chagrined by the nomination of Zendo Kern to the County Planning Board in light
of his recent history of advocacy of large developments where none should happen, despite
the multiple layers of negative-impact upon Kailua-Kana. How could he be even-handed in
adjudicating what's best for the community writ large if his focus has been in driving projects
forward for developers?
As he would need to recuse himself from a number of cases that are likely to come
before the Planning Board during his tenure, I must strongly oppose his nomination to

the Board.
