These funds will be used to assist with rent, utilities, and other defined housing expenses for eligible Hawaii County households with respect to the coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic, Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an Emergency Rental Assistance Program COVID-19 grant in the amount of$30,000,000. 4 I The Office or Housing and Community Development requests that a breach be authorized to submit this bill after the December 30, 2020 submission deadline, and to waive it from the Finance Committee in order to be placed on the January 20, 2021 Council agenda to expedite the receipt of these funds.
