Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Kathleen "Pudding" Lassiter of Council District 1 to the Police
Commission.
Ms. Lassiter, a life-long Hawai'i County resident and a dynamo of civic participation,retired as
the Director of the Wailoa Center in 2001. She served on the Hawai'i County Salary
Commission, term ending 2015, and as Chair of the Police Commission from 2004 through
2008.
Ms. Lassiter is a graduate of Punahou School and Sacramento City College, is an accomplished
historian and horsewoman, and volunteers her time for numerous events and associations,
including the Merrie Monarch Parade, Keiki Rodeo, Hawai'i Quarter Horse Association, and the
Paniolo Preservation Society. If confirmed, she will serve a term to end December 31, 2023.
