Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety,to which was referred
Communication No. 66, reports as follows:
Communication No. 66, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated December 22, 2020,
submitting for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of Sidney Fuke of Council
District 2 to the Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
Executive Assistant Pomaika`i Bartolome was present at Hilo Council Chambers and introduced
the nominee who also appeared in person.
Several Council Members commented in favor of the nominee's appointment. Chair Inaba stated
that the nominee would not have to appear in person at Council for confirmation.
Pursuant to Sections 7-3.3 and 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter, members of the Liquor
Control Adjudication Board shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.
Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent
of Communication No. 66 and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Sidney Fuke to the
Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
