Subject: signing up to testify against proposed appointments of Rodenhurst and Kern
Aloha,
I wish to state my objections that both proposed appointments of Zendo Kern
and Ikaika Rodenhurst are irregular and are contrary to the principal of both
accountable and transparent government. Both candidates are unqualified
according to the requirements stated clearly in the job descriptions of both
positions since neither candidate possesses the appropriate college degrees or
years of experience in administration required.
It is profoundly troubling also that both candidates have recently been political
candidates and have attracted funding from private entities tied to
development. It is inevitable that if they are appointed, conflicts of
interest will arise.
Please vote 'no' to both these candidates and demand that more neutral
candidates be selected that can. more justly and fairly serve the public without
being beholden to private financial interests and developers.
We saw that previously a lawsuit followed the appointment of Bobby Jean
Leithead Todd. It would be most unfortunate breach of public trust if it was
necessary for members of the public to have to resort to a lawsuit to call a halt
to these candidates whose appointment would be outside of stated policy and
procedure. Comm. N
